Configuring User Preferences




Common viewer parameters may be configured under the  [Options | Preferences]  menu. These include colors, fonts, options, etc.

Other options and features may be entered in the configurtion file.  This is a text file where entries may added or edited using any Ascii text editor (i.e. Notepad).  The name of the file is:  \fpimage\bin\fpimage.cfg. Use the ' # ' character to denote a comment.

Viewer

Anonymous Dicom

Use the  ANONYMOUS  keyword to set the text within the image header when anonymizing Dicom files.  Add the  OTHER  keyword to anonymize the institution/physicians also.

Example:

AVI Format

Use the AVI  keyword to set the video mode for AVI creation/compression - RGB or PAL

AVI Display

Use the AVI SHOW  keyword to open the AVI file after creation.

Dicom CDROM Selection

Use the DICOM CDROM  to specify the DICOM CD drive when it is not the default CD drive.

Dicom Text Format

Use the  DICOM  keyword to include a  Dicom fmt file  for dicom text display format.  The DICOM files are compiled at run time and should be placed in the BIN directory.  Errors will occur upon start-up if the files can't be read or compiled.  ' $ ' = base directory (i.e. c:\fpimage).

Dicom Dictionary

Use this to specify the Dicom Dictionary file for the viewer to use.  Edit this file to enter any updated or private tags that you may want the viewer to read on startup.

Filename Selection

Use the  FILE  keyword to specify the selectable viewer image files in the Open Files dialog box. They are in descending order.  ' $ ' = base directory (i.e. c:\fpimage).

Image Memory Allocation

Use this to allocate image memory on startup for 64 bits per pixel. Maximum image size is 4Kx4K  (16777216 bytes)  for a total of 128MB of RAM.

Example:

IMAGESIZE 16777216



Image Processor Memory Allocation

Use this to allocate the image processor memory on startup for 32 bits per value. This will be the default unless the  allocate  command is executed within a script.

Example:

MAXMEM 4194304

Use the  ADDIN  keyword to include script files under the viewer  Process  menu.

Add the RELOAD  keyword to load the previously viewed image files upon start-up.

Use the  RAW  keyword to include a  Raw UIF file  to recognize and display and or convert a custom file format.  The  RAW  files are compiled at run time and should be placed in the BIN directory.  Errors will occur upon start-up if the files can't be read or compiled.  ' $ ' = base directory (i.e. c:\fpimage).
